Pando is a relatively new (some might say, new to the internet) piece of software that promises to make file sharing easy on both Mac and PC users. This piece of software can be downloaded for free, however the software does come with a limited amount of storage. This is a one-time fee that is required to download the full version of the software.
Pando was a program that was primarily aimed at transmitting (and getting) small files that would usually be too big to send through normal means. It utilized both client-side and peer-to-peer architectures and was initially released for Windows and Mac OS X. The application has been available to users for free for some time, but the software was not widely popular because it did not have the capability to convert large files. The free version of the software is also limited when it comes to storage space as well as bandwidth. Once the application was acquired by the Mac OS X platform, Mac and PC users were able to download and install the program for free.
With the free download of pando, one is also able to use the application in a "virtual" environment. This way, users do not need to purchase the program in order to be able to run the application or use the features within it. Another interesting thing about this application is that it works just like a web browser, hence allowing users to easily browse the internet and visit websites that are based in other geographic locations.
